I am using aim 6 with Jaws 8.00 and am having trouble with jaws not reading all my IMs. It reads the first and sometimes second IM but does not read the rest. The strange thing is that it does not do this all the time. Sometimes, it will read all my IMs and sometimes, it won't. Is anyone else having this problem? If so, do you know how to fix it so jaws reads all of your IMs? I've tried routing jaws to PC and sometimes it works but sometimes, it doesn't either. If anyone can help me, I would really appreciate it. Many thanks in advance.

Well, try a differentmethod. Sometimes learning curves are terrible annoying steps that you have to take but they are there for a reason. I use aim 5.9 only for file transfers. For chatting i use mirc in conjunction with bitlbee. Bitlbee is a server and behaves like a console program that allows you to type different commands tto take most of the messaging actions. For example, account on will log all of your messaging accounts on. More importantly, you can have up to 10 different accounts that are from different messengers and everyone would be there. Thus, the problems with jaws not reading are eliminated because jaws work fully well iith IRC (mirc.com, talkingirc.net, bitlbee.org) for more information.
hey I use aim 6 and it works fine. when jaws starts acting up which it does at times a simple insert escape fixes it.
Is that a bit like the problem I have where jaws won't read what's in the combo boxes, or what I've deleted when I press the backspace key when I'm in an edit box?
Hmm. Haven't tried insert escape but I will next time this happens. Thanks for the tip. lol I always forget that command exists.

Just wanted to let you all know that insert escape works for me. I have to constantly do it but it's way easier than what I've been doing before. Again, many thanks.
